HEC’s new step: one entry test for admission in all public and private universities. HAT 2017! (PHASE II)

HEC has established Education Testing Council (ETC) to hold entry tests (free of cost) for all public and private universities from fall 2017, aim of which is to hold uniform, accessible and competitive assessment base for admissions in universities of Pakistan.

Online registration is open for undergraduate admission test (Phase II) 2017. Validity of this test will be for two years.

Opportunity for medical and engineering category students

  • The test is valid for admission to the medical colleges or universities/institutions which have opted for ETC test.
  • Those who have taken the test on August 12-13, 2017 may reappear in the test being conducted on September 23, 2017 by registering online.  The best test score will be considered.


Online Application submission deadline August 31, 2017.

There is NO registration fee for this entrance test.

Eligibility for HAT Phase 2

The students who have completed HSSC (Intermediate) or result awaiting students for 2nd Year.

Last date to register for the test is 31st August, 2017.

In case of difficulty in registration. Please visit HEC regional offices in your nearest city, Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Bahawalpur.
