A research event related to “Thermodynamics” is going to be held at NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi.

This event will be conducted on 5th December, 2017 (Timings: 10.00 am to 12.00 pm).

Mr. Naveed ur Rehman will conduct the lecture and will throw light on modern researches and applications of ‘Modeling and Optimization of Solar Energy.”

Event description

  • Creating a temperature difference across the thermoelectric generator module causes the thermocouples to produce the electric potential.
  • When solar energy is used to control the temperature difference, this is solar thermoelectric generator.
  • Theoretical and experimental investigation of the performance of SPTEC (solar plate thermoelectric generator) and ASPTEG (arrayed solar plate thermoelectric generator).
  • Studying the Mathematical and Statistical analyses of the experimental results.

In short

Beyond the current limitations associated with improvement in thermoelectric materials, it is hoped that the result conducted on both (SPTEC and ASPTEC) will eventually lead to the successful development of new portable rooftop renewable thermoelectric generators, offering tremendous benefits to the domestic users. In addition to that, the research performed on them will lead to the design and evaluation of performance of such systems for a verity of applications.
