Blockchain has the potential to change the way we buy and sell, interact with government and verify the authenticity of everything from property titles to organic vegetables. It combines the openness of the internet with the security of cryptography to give everyone a faster, safer way to verify key information and establish trust.
What is Blockchain?
Blockchain is an incorruptible digital ledger (ledger: a note book in which all money transactions of a business are recorded), that can be programmed to record the details of financial and non-financial transactions. This data in case of block chain is stored in a distributed database and is imputable and permanent. A centralized network of computers uses this blockchain technology to manage the database that records Bitcoin transactions.
Application of Blockchain
The integration of Blockchain with financial transactions can save the world from wastage of substantial amounts of time and money, with a dramatic reduction in time required for processing and authenticating transactions. It operates on decentralized database which has made its operations seamless, with a tight security which makes it safe from cyber-attacks.It is considered one of the most important inventions of the 21st century.
