Women Cycling Club at University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) is giving free bicycles to its member students. This is been done under the project: “Gender Sensitization & Women Empowerment in Agriculture Sector”. These bicycles are been given by support of USAID Pakistan and Aurat Foundation.

How to apply?

Registration form to apply for free bicycles can be obtained from Chief Hall Warden Office & from female hostel’s offices.

Forms can also be downloaded from Official Website of university.

Last day to apply: 25th August, 2016

Bicycle award ceremony: 9th September, 2016

A total of 500 bicycles are to be distributed in this program. In first phase of this program, last year some 100 Bicycles were distributed among female students. Recipients of bicycles thanked organizations involved in this project and expressed their delight claiming that such projects will help in breaking social stereotypes and will give more freedom to female students enabling them to move around campus conveniently.

An allied program, Women on Wheels run under the supervision of Government of Punjab gave training to women bike riders.
