Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) together invite youth form all over Pakistan to come forward and compete against the best talent in the field of sciences and Mathematics from entire world. HEC and PIEAS are searching a team of the finest individuals who together can compete in International Science Olympiads which are going to be held in July 2018 in different countries depending upon the chosen subject. Candidates are required to apply in order to get nominated to be the part of the team who will stand in competition against the best teams coming from all over the world in each category.
Selected team would be awarded Certificates and cash Prizes. In addition to that PIEAS would also offer admissions in BS Program without Entry tests to the team.
International Science Olympiads Venue
As per their announcement, Biology Olympiad would be held in Iran, Chemistry in Slovakia, Mathematics in Romania and Physics Olympiad would be held in Portugal.
STEM Careers has defined some basic criteria which determine the eligibility of the candidates for each category.
International Science Olympiads Eligibility Criteria
Applicant should be current student of Matric/O levels or F.Sc. /A-levels (Part-l)
Their last score in the core subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics should be at least 70 % or more.
Candidate should be less than 20 years of age by 30th Jane 2018.
Application Process
Applicants can obtain nomination forms online from PIEAS and STEM Careers website or directly from the addresses mentioned on STEM Career advertisement.
Duly filled nomination form along with bank deposit slip’s receipt and relevant attachments are to be submitted at the given addresses.
Deadline
Last date for submission of application is 8th Jan, 2017.
