A new year has brought new opportunities for tech lovers. Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Microsoft team have come into the collaboration to organize Microsoft Imagine Cup 2018. This new event is organized in order to help tech lover kick-start their journey. The youth of Pakistan will get a great opportunity to earn $100,000 USD. The platform made available through this collaborated effort will help students of Pakistan in recognition of their innovative ideas and relative projects.
Guidelines for the Event
- Start online registration.
- Create or join the imagine cup team. (minimum 3 members
- Submit your project.
- You can later check the status of your project from your account page.
Schedule
Regional Finals will take place in different cities to evaluate team performance. The winning teams compete for National Finals to select a National Winner. A mix of judges both from Academia (as directed by HEC) and industry evaluates the solutions during both rounds. Both Regional as well as National Finals evaluations are made based over team’s deliverable’s submitted online on the Imagine Cup Portal.
Below, please take note of the important dates for Pakistan Imagine Cup 2018 plan.
- Deliverable submission for Regional Finals on Imagine Cup site will start on 1st December 2017 and close on 20th March 2018 midnight Pakistan Time.
- The Regional Finals will take place between 27th March 2018 to 06th April 2018.
- Regional Finals winners’ announcement will be made by 9th April 2018.
- National Finals deliverable’s submission will start on 9th April 2018 and end on 13th April 2018.
- The National Finals will take place between 16th April 2018 to 17th April 2018 in Islamabad.
- The National Finals will announce the winner by 18th April 2018.
