Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) under the provisions of PEC Act and CPD Byelaws-2008, is holding 11th Engineering Practice Examination (EPE) for Registered Engineers (REs) to get prestigious title of Professional Engineer (PE). As per PEC Act 1976 which was amended up to December 1st, 2016, The “PE” has privilege over “RE” in terms of independently signing decisions and preference of high levels leading towards international practice.

Eligibility Criteria

All those engineers who are registered with PEC as “Registered Engineers (RE)” in April 2005 and thereafter, have proven professional experience of five years from the date of initial registration, whether working publicly or privately and who have also acquired 17-CPD Credit Points (w.e.f. 10th July 2010 and onwards) are eligible to apply.

The examination will be held simultaneously in ISLAMABAD, PESHAWAR, LAHORE, QUETTA, and KARACHI on August 20th, 2017.

All interested engineers fulfilling the above criteria may apply on the prescribed application form available on PEC website, along with fee of Rs. 5000/- plus bank charges (at MCB TDB A/c no. 0685583041005497 OR HBL A/c no. 00427901578603 through any online branch).

Documents to be attached while mailing the admission form are:

  • Attested copy of valid CNIC
  • Attested copy of PEC registration certificate
  • Attested copy of Domicile certificate
  • Attested copy(ies) of Experience Certificate(s)
  • Two recent passport size photographs (attested on back side)


The applications, complete in all respect should reach the address “Additional Registrar – CPD Department, Pakistan Engineering Council, Ataturk Avenue, Sector G-5/2, Islamabad” before 30th, of June 2017.
